Remote Viewer™—Satellite Camera Solution
The Remote Viewer™ is a satellite camera solution used for remote environmental monitoring from Nupoint Systems, designed to provide managers of remote locations the ability to keep an eye on what’s happening as often as needed. It’s a rugged, portable, and lightweight satellite camera solution that includes a sturdy camera and a sophisticated two-way satellite data transceiver (SD200-G) that allows M2M communication monitoring (machine to machine). It’s ideal for monitoring harsh isolated locations where cellular communication is not an option.
Get the picture before you travel
Travelling eats up costly resources; showing regular pictures of the remote location conditions you manage, such as mountain passes, forest fires, river and ice dams, and it will significantly reduce your need to travel. Additionally the Remote Viewer will help eliminate unsuccessful trips where poor conditions at your destination result in a wasted trip. Our satellite camera solution will reduce your costs, and the risks associated with travelling to remote sites, while increasing your effectiveness.
A portable satellite camera that is easy to set up
The lightweight Remote Viewer satellite camera is highly portable. It can be set up, configured, and installed on site in less than an hour, by almost any staff member. Battery or solar panel powered and available with a box or dome camera and optional mounting tripod, it’s a versatile satellite camera solution that’s easy to move from site to site, giving you instant access to what’s really going on remotely.
Easy management from anywhere
You can manage your Remote Viewers from the comfort of your office 24/7/365. It’s easy to adjust the time frequency of image transmittal (scheduled, on demand, or with local trigger); you are in control. Images are sent directly from the Remote Viewer by email to multiple addresses, or via FTP, so the entire team gets the picture too.
The Remote Viewer satellite camera solution uses a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network to reliably transmit good quality images, where cellular networks fail to provide coverage. Unlike the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite system (GOES), which does not support large file transfers, the LEO satellite network allows large file transfers and provides confirmation of file delivery. The equipment can withstand harsh and hazardous conditions -40°C to +50°C/- 40°F to +122°F, and has been successfully installed in the harshest environments of Canada and the US.
A comprehensive satellite camera solution
The Remote Viewer satellite camera solution is an affordable M2M system (machine to machine) that will quickly pay for itself by reducing travel and increasing your effectiveness. It’s ideal for monitoring wildfire prescribed burns and modified responses to wildfires, ice and snow buildups, river flow and water level activity, weather condition monitoring, among many others.
Affordable and flexible M2M data services
Our satellite transmission fee structure is fair and cost effective offering you a cost per picture with a minimum monthly fee, so you can change the number of images transmitted, if required, without incurring penalties.
